主要从事病毒蛋白功能鉴定、病毒致病机理及RNAi抗病毒免疫研究。在病毒蛋白功能鉴定方面,系统、原创性地鉴定出病毒编码解旋酶及RNAi抑制子;在病毒致病机制方面,多维度揭示新冠病毒感染对患者蛋白、代谢、免疫等层面的影响,阐明其致病机理;在RNAi抗病毒免疫方面,从宿主蛋白与代谢等多角度阐明宿主对RNAi抗病毒免疫的调控作用及分子机制。
